Colin Uher is a law clerk at Phillips Froetschel and a J.D. candidate at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, Class of 2026. A native of Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, Colin joined the firm in May of 2024 and has contributed to a wide range of litigation support, including the research and drafting of an amicus curiae brief before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and assisting at trial. His ongoing responsibilities include legal research, drafting, and supporting our attorneys throughout the litigation process.

At Pitt Law, Colin earned the Chief Justice Ralph J. Cappy Endowed Scholarship and received a CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Torts. He served as a teaching assistant for a 2024 Torts course and currently holds roles as a Senior Editor of the Journal of Law & Commerce, as a Pitt Law Ambassador, and as an Academic Success teaching assistant for new law students. He also assists with the representation of indigent plaintiffs in protection from abuse proceedings through Pitt Law’s “Community Lawyering” practicum with Summit Legal Aid in Washington County.

During his undergraduate years (Pitt Class of 2023), Colin brought Pitt’s spirit to life as Roc the Panther, the university’s beloved mascot. In that role, he earned third place at the 2021 NCA Mascot Nationals, volunteered hundreds of hours in the community, and served as Spirit Team Captain from 2021–2023. He was awarded the Spirit of Roc Award and named Omicron Delta Kappa’s Senior of the Year, commemorated with his name etched in stone on the ODK Walk near the Cathedral of Learning. Colin earned his B.A. in Communication Rhetoric with a minor in Legal Studies from the University of Pittsburgh in 2023, earning Dean’s List recognition in each of his eight semesters. He also played for the Pitt Men’s Club Volleyball team.

Colin is the middle of three sons. His brothers, Patrick and Aidan, and his parents, Phil and Kris, all reside in the western Pennsylvania area. As a proud Pittsburgher, Colin is a lifelong fan of the city’s sports teams and stays active in the Allegheny County Bar Association’s softball, basketball, and soccer leagues. Colin also enjoys video games, bike riding, movies, fishing, and spending time with family, friends, and his two cats.

Colin aspires to use his education and experience to advocate for injured individuals and ensure they receive the justice and support they deserve. After graduation, Colin plans to join the firm as an attorney and continue his journey as a trial lawyer for injured plaintiffs.
