About Lydia Kinnee (Paralegal)
Lydia Kinnee is a paralegal at Phillips Froetschel. She has assisted multiple attorneys for over six years, working with Attorney Laura D. Phillips for over five years. Lydia was born in Canonsburg but moved closer to her father’s family in Ohio and spent her childhood years there. She is now back to her roots in Canonsburg, living there with her husband, Drew. She enjoys cooking, particularly Italian dishes, interior design, and traveling.
Education
During her high school years, Lydia qualified for the dual enrollment program, attending college at Eastern Gateway Community College in Steubenville, Ohio.She then obtained her Degree of Associate in Applied Science- Paralegal Studies at West Virginia Northern Community College located at Wheeling, West Virginia, in 2017. She attended West Virginia Northern under a full academic scholarship and was awarded many honors to include Dean’s List, President’s List and “Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.”
Professional Achievements
She passed the formal examination to become an Accredited Legal Professional through National Association for Legal Support Professionals (NALS.) Lydia also tested and qualified to become a Notary with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, holding that duty since 2019.
About Nicole Stephenson (Legal Assistant)
Nicole Stephenson serves as a Legal Assistant at Phillips Froetschel, bringing with her over 15 years of customer service expertise. Her transition to the legal field has been a fortunate one, as she applies her skill and knowledge to ensure clients receive the utmost attention and care. Nicole is adept in all legal matters and is a qualified Notary in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Originally from Westland, Michigan, Nicole ventured to Pittsburgh for her education, earning a Bachelor of Science with a specialization in Photography from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. She has made Pittsburgh her home, and resides just outside the city with her husband, Adam, and daughter, Caroline. Nicole finds joy in activities such as reading, exploring secondhand stores, and enjoying family outings to the movies.
About Renee Nolla (Paralegal)
Renee is a paralegal at Phillips Froetschel, and brings to the team over 30 years of experience specializing in medical malpractice and personal injury. Renee strives to ensure that our clients understand each step of the legal process, and is always available to answer your questions, calls, and emails.
Renee is from the South Hills of Pittsburgh, and a proud graduate of Baldwin High School. Her two teenagers keep Renee and her husband Tony busy with their many sports commitments, but in her rare free time, she enjoys golfing and traveling.
About Colin Uher (Law Clerk)
Colin Uher is a law clerk at Phillips Froetschel and a J.D. candidate at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, Class of 2026. A native of Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, Colin joined the firm in May of 2024 and has contributed to a wide range of litigation support, including the research and drafting of an amicus curiae brief before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and assisting at trial. His ongoing responsibilities include legal research, drafting, and supporting our attorneys throughout the litigation process.
At Pitt Law, Colin earned the Chief Justice Ralph J. Cappy Endowed Scholarship and received a CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Torts. He served as a teaching assistant for a 2024 Torts course and currently holds roles as a Senior Editor of the Journal of Law & Commerce, as a Pitt Law Ambassador, and as an Academic Success teaching assistant for new law students. He also assists with the representation of indigent plaintiffs in protection from abuse proceedings through Pitt Law’s “Community Lawyering” practicum with Summit Legal Aid in Washington County.
During his undergraduate years (Pitt Class of 2023), Colin brought Pitt’s spirit to life as Roc the Panther, the university’s beloved mascot. In that role, he earned third place at the 2021 NCA Mascot Nationals, volunteered hundreds of hours in the community, and served as Spirit Team Captain from 2021–2023. He was awarded the Spirit of Roc Award and named Omicron Delta Kappa’s Senior of the Year, commemorated with his name etched in stone on the ODK Walk near the Cathedral of Learning. Colin earned his B.A. in Communication Rhetoric with a minor in Legal Studies from the University of Pittsburgh in 2023, earning Dean’s List recognition in each of his eight semesters. He also played for the Pitt Men’s Club Volleyball team.
Colin is the middle of three sons. His brothers, Patrick and Aidan, and his parents, Phil and Kris, all reside in the western Pennsylvania area. As a proud Pittsburgher, Colin is a lifelong fan of the city’s sports teams and stays active in the Allegheny County Bar Association’s softball, basketball, and soccer leagues. Colin also enjoys video games, bike riding, movies, fishing, and spending time with family, friends, and his two cats.
Colin aspires to use his education and experience to advocate for injured individuals and ensure they receive the justice and support they deserve. After graduation, Colin plans to join the firm as an attorney and continue his journey as a trial lawyer for injured plaintiffs.
